Raw Aura

Every now and then, you come across a photographer with a certain vision and energy that stops you. Eve Louisa’s imagery does just that. The Manchester-based photographer balances a quiet mundanity with editorially influenced compositions, exploring themes of melancholy and youth culture through a fashion lens. The shots, with their almost ethereal quality tempered by raw energy, capture her subjects in their unfiltered realities. The relaxed yet contemplative nature of the poses in everyday environments lends Eve’s images a quality of the legendary Corinne Day, whose raw and natural blend of photography broke boundaries and paved the way for a new generation of image-makers. Eve’s work has that same considered yet effortless air, with shots exploring her subjects through natural light, the muted palette lending a delicacy and vulnerability to her subjects.

Eve has worked for notable publications, including Bricks, Glamcult & Contributor magazine, with exhibitions in group shows ranging from Manchester to Rome as well as work with brands including Adam Jones, Pronounce, Bmuet(te) and Sourtai.

Eve has also just released her first zine, entitled ‘Lone’ with several stockists in the UK.
